Want to make a WCA/CA training, but can't? Wish you could re-take two or three more?

Serve yourself up some 'Noodles', and help fund future CAN projects too.

Acupuncture Is Like Noodles, the new text written by Lisa Rohleder and members of the Working Class Acupuncture staff, is designed to read like a WCA community acupuncture training is heard – except without the cuss words.

All topics covered during a training are included (minus Jingei pulse diagnosis) plus lots more...

An excerpt from the Introduction:

Imagine what would happen if a pharmaceutical company announced that it had invented a drug which could effectively treat practically everything that could go wrong with a person.

The short list would include asthma, arthritis, indigestion, PMS, sinusitis, insomnia, fibromyalgia, hot flashes, high blood pressure, infertility, constipation, the side effects of chemotherapy, and the common cold, not to mention every conceivable variety of pain.

And imagine that not only can this drug address all of these problems, but all of its “side effects” are positive: it has stress-reducing and mood-elevating properties, and in fact is so relaxing that some people who have nothing really wrong with them like to use it on a regular basis, just because they enjoy it so much. And yet it isn’t addictive, and there’s no way to overdose on it.

Think about the potential market for such a drug -- and how it would challenge our assumptions about how medicine works.

Now imagine that this drug isn’t a drug, but a practice so old that it cannot be patented or claimed by anyone. A practice that requires almost no materials and potentially costs almost nothing.

In a country that is not only in the midst of a health care crisis due to skyrocketing costs, but also sunk in the worst recession in memory. See where we’re going with this? But wait -- imagine that unfortunately this practice that should cost almost nothing and should be available to virtually everybody has somehow become so expensive that almost nobody can even afford to try it.

And to add insult to injury, imagine that it’s being used more and more to do “facelifts” for the very wealthy, because not only can it lower blood pressure and get rid of migraines, it can diminish wrinkles, too. And so what ought to be an inexpensive treasure for everyone, especially in dire economic times, has become an overpriced luxury for a very few. Doesn’t it sound like it might be time to talk about a revolution?

Hey Andy, this is great- I'm

Hey Andy, this is great- I'm ordering a copy-  I'd still like to get copies of the community acupuncture for patients book -the cheap one-($5 a copy?) to have available to patients- Are they still available? Can't find 'em on the store link-

Thanks! Daphne

"Noodles" is the new patient book...

We're no longer offering the old patient book -- it had TOO MUCH THEORY. When you read Noodles, I think you'll see why we got rid of the old one.

OMG - I LOVE this book! Love love LOVE it!

It's so fabulous.  I'm talking it up and trying to sell 'em.  AND it's making me better at talking about what I do.  I can re-train myself to think CA more and more whenever I want by reading and re-reading this.  Thanks a million!

Wonderful and heartfelt

Wonderful and heartfelt book, thanks so much Lisa Skip Moses et al. ! This book should be required reading at all acup. schools...... it would have saved me a decade and many many thousands of lost dollars and a lot of heartache, trying to deliver acupuncture services in this country the wrong way we were shown. Thanks Lupine and staff too, Very fast delivery after my order! 'Noodles' really brought back my WCA training last year and has finally gotten thru to me, I'm closing down my private-room practice after too many years of wasted time and effort. At least I know I'm not alone in 'why' it didn't work... can't wait to join CAN and get going! thanks again Steven R. San Diego
