How to Have Goals and Zen

*Note Fun post please don't take it too seriously!

Reading a great book (Zen Wrapped in Karma Dipped in Chocolate) by Brad Warner. Hilarious, edgy stuff about real life and Zen. I like my Zen with a bit of profanity and a lot of real life, because all the happy go lucky Zen books that I read don't speak to me about my life and my experiences.

I take walk-ins. And I'll take them whenever I am open, as many as I can. Sometimes it makes my life a little crazy, but mostly it's great.

I think it was the last chapter in the "Web That Has No Weaver". It was called the "Art of Chinese Medicine" or something of that sort.  When I read it, I loved it. I made a ton of copies (even though I owned the book), so I could read it everywhere, anytime and could pass it along to other people.

I am really lucky that there's active Tai Chi Club in town with great teachers. I have been trying to do Tai Chi as often as I can ( ;) maybe once a week). It really makes me think about how yin and yang is the rhythm of life.

How Many Chinese People Do You Treat?

The recent Working Class Acupuncture Seminar in St. Paul was quite inspiring.

  • I thought the "Acupuncture as a scam for white people by white people" was particularly funny. When we are discussing and comparing ruling class and upper middle class values by comparing what they would want in dresses and acupuncture clinics, it suddenly reminded me of what people always asked me when we did talks on acupuncture.
