Loving CA

I’m usually ready for blog week but I’m gearing up to movemy clinic in July so time got away from me.  So, I’ll tell you about my wonderful week at CA lastweek.

I used to have a day job teaching clinical nursing.  I quit the job in December and got aroundto taking the textbooks back on Feb. 29. My top week before last week was seeing 51 visits last September.

On Mar 3 and Mar 4 I had so many new patients call that Iended up last week with 11 new patients and 58 total visits!  This was a complete relief to me as a newly self-employed woman and so much fun as an acupuncturist that I just can’texpress it on paper!  I’m using Dr.Tan’s methods so those with pain felt either a lot of relief or total reliefthe first visit.  Since they canafford to come back several times a week, they didn’t get to hurting back tobaseline before they came in again. One woman was so amazed that her severe constant pain of two years wasgone that she smiled and then burst into tears.  I’ve seen herthree times now and the pain remains gone.  It doesn’t get any better than that.

I was so busy that I had to sit down, prioritize and look atmy system of working.  I usuallytry to greet the patient, find out how they are, do pulses, set needles, chart andprocess the payment before the next person comes in (10 min later).  This got to be nuts last week so I nowtake the chart to the chair side, chart the CC and the points and leave therest of the charting and payment processing until the end of the shift.  Much better.

So, I’m relaxing into thinking I can make a living doingthis business model and I’m having the best time getting all this experienceand seeing all these people get better with acupuncture.  Smile

Nobody is surprised

that you are doing great.  Congratulations again on quitting your day job!

Many Thanks

for all the support and encouragement I've had from so many of you Ann

Congrats Ann

Congrats on your bravery and success (in the fullest sense).  Thank you for the inspiring words.  I am moving towards a radical career transition with the ultimate goal of offering CA and sometimes I just need to come here and hear how people that are already doing it are succeeding. Thank you Ann, thank you all!
