I know that we're all community loving people,who are all about using acupuncture to change the world. And we'd all rather worry less about marketing.

A few days ago, I received The Mayway Mailer, Winter 2010 issue, and read the featured article "Touring China: A Visit to Anguo and Mayway's Manufacturing Partners" by Alisa Wrinkle, L.Ac. as we round towards the big day for the fpd, i have just wanted to thank you all so much for being part of this organization and for stepping up and speaking your hearts and making calls and writing letters.

by now, many of you may have begun to see why this really is a revolution. and why this network matters so much to all of us.

The following is a copy of the letter sent by the CAN Board to ACAOM (Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine) stating official opposition to the FPD.

When I first graduated from school thirteen years ago, I remember joking to a friend about my ego-wall where I hung my diplomas, my state license, and my NCCAOM certification. I had no idea how to run a business and was extremely insecure around issues of money or discussing treatment plans. So I had a hobby practice out of my apartment that saw three patients a week (on good weeks).

When you get down to it, the reason is quite simple: CAN is in the business of retraining graduates of Chinese medical schools so that they are more likely to make a living as independent practitioners. In essence, CAN is an aftermarket provider.
